1The standards that guide everything we publish at Urban Harbor Insights.
Readers should know how our work is produced and what they can hold us to. This policy covers accuracy, independence, sourcing, corrections, and the ethics of our reporting.
Our editorial decisions are made independently. Advertisers, sponsors, partners, and subjects of our coverage cannot approve, change, or suppress a story. Where a business relationship or personal interest could reasonably be seen as a conflict, we avoid assigning the story or we disclose the connection.
We keep these categories distinct and label them clearly.
We identify sources whenever possible. Anonymity is granted only when a source faces a real risk and the information is important and cannot be obtained another way. In those cases an editor knows the source’s identity and we explain why anonymity was granted. We credit original reporting from other outlets and link to it where appropriate.
When we make a mistake, we fix it promptly and transparently.

Any sponsored content, paid placement, or affiliate relationship is clearly disclosed to readers. Commercial content is kept separate from editorial coverage and never presented as independent reporting.
Journalists and editors are responsible for everything we publish. If automated or AI-assisted tools are used for research, transcription, or drafting support, a human editor reviews and verifies the work before publication. Tools do not replace editorial judgment, and we do not publish unverified machine-generated claims.
We use images that we are licensed or permitted to use and credit them where required. Charts and graphics are built from cited data and are not designed to mislead. Illustrations and stock images are not presented as documentary photographs of a specific event.
We treat the people we cover with fairness and respect. We seek comment from those who are the subject of significant claims and give them a reasonable chance to respond. We avoid language that stereotypes people or groups.
